What better way to spend a Monday night than learning how to make bread in the surroundings of the Barefoot Café in Walton using the most local of flour from Wessex Mill in Wantage.
A warm welcome to Jorge Fernandes who will be guiding you on your journey to learn how to make, what he says “is the easiest thing in the world to make”. So why do so many of us fail at making good bread?
We will prepare a 24 hour raised rustic loaf, which you will take home to cook the following day. Not only that but we will tell how to prepare and nurture your own biga.
Jorge has a wealth of knowledge and experience with bread and so pick his brain during the session and enjoy some Portuguese cheese and wine with some freshly cooked bread. It will be a truly entertaining couple of hours!!
