• A huge welcome back to Justine our resident forager and trained herbalist who is going to be guiding you through this beginner’s guide to foraging. Justine will also help you understand the impact of plants on your physical and mental health.  You will also learn about those mystical mushrooms and how to identify several abundant varieties even at this time of year. You will also learn the basics of foraging and how to sustainably harvest seasonal edibles for their nutritional and medicinal values. All classes will be suitable for all different levels - just come with the desire to learn! ! ! You will leave having an understanding of some of the most commonly found plants that you can forage and also ones that you need to avoid! ! !   • Come and join Justine for an afternoon of foraging and wild crafting with the focus on herbalism. Learn how to identify medicinal plants and craft your own remedies. After our foraging walk we will return to the barn and we will make an immune boosting elderberry tincture and menthol decongestant balm with the dark days coming you will benefit from learning how to heal yourselves through nature.   We will provide everything you need to be able to take these things home with you and with all the knowledge to continue making your own versions as the seasons change. We will light the fire, drink heart warming teas and generally make each and every one of you feel special and spoiled for the afternoon!
