Each December, something rather special arrives. Through our friends at Ogglio, this year’s early harvest extra virgin olive oil makes its way from the Belice Valley in Sicily to The Cart Shed – vibrant, green and full of life. Pressed within hours of picking from century-old Nocellara trees, this is olive oil at its most honest – unrefined, intensely flavoured and deeply rooted in place.

We’re delighted to be welcoming Giuseppe for a special evening dedicated to the most ancient of foods.

This is a relaxed, intimate gathering – part tasting, part conversation – where you’ll learn what truly sets exceptional olive oil apart, and why these early season oils are so prized.

We’ll taste the oil as it should be tasted: simply, generously… and with good company.

Expect:

• Fresh bread from the Blewbury Bread Company
• A selection of local cheeses
• A glass or two of wine or Prosecco
• And, of course, that first pour of this year’s ‘green nectar’

For those of you thinking ahead to Christmas, this is something rather special to give. A bottle of new season oil — fresh, alive and just arrived — is a gift with real meaning. It is not something that sits on a shelf, but something to be opened, shared and remembered. Naturally Giuseppe will be selling his oil after the event.
